When you’re young, people tell you that you can be whatever you want. “Follow your dreams,” they say.
Do they mean it?
I don’t think so, about the time you hit 17 or 18 that dream of becoming an astronaut is crushed with “Be realistic, go to college, and get a good job.”
The trouble is, often that is horrible advice.
College is overrated, overpriced, and over attended.
You have a degree? Are you using it? Ok, yes, some are, and some need to. I’m certainly not going to a doctor who “studied online”.
So often if we just reach a little further, a little harder, and follow our passions a bit more often, the success and life satisfaction quickly follow.
We NEED to get back to the passion we had when we were younger, the drive energy, and optimism. We need to follow our dreams a bit more often and listen to the world a little less.
