Get your flywheel cranking!

“The accumulation of non-obvious ineffective or misapplied actions leads to low productivity.”
~ Chris Behnke

We are all familiar with the concept of the flywheel in business. The idea that seemingly insignificant “pushes” on the flywheel of business all contribute in small and non-obvious ways to the result of success.

This leads us to the question, “how to we get more pushes and more efficient pushes, how do we become more productive.”

So often we are looking for the trick to increased productivity. It’s human nature you know, to find the secret tip to getting more done in less time.

What is the one thing is that makes the difference, the one thing that will make you more productive than anything else.

Despite both your and my desire to find the “one thing” the “one thing” just doesn’t exist. High productivity is a combination of careful and deliberate actions, consistently acted upon over a long period of time.

There is simply no other way, no short cuts, NO silver bullets.

If your goal is to push your flywheel forward, to get it spinning so fast, it can’t be stopped. My suggestion is to remove barriers, don’t be afraid of the small seemingly insignificant pushes, and stop doing the stuff that makes no sense just because you have always done it that way.

Onward,

Chris Behnke
