Goals are interesting beasts.
They have a way of being both elusive and challenging. While difficult, goals are also healthy. Putting a “stake in the ground” to hold yourself accountable to accomplishing something important. It’s not only good practice but for many people essential to achieving what they want to accomplish.
Virtually all successful people follow the practice of setting goals, reviewing them, making adjustments, and pushing through to completion.
The trouble is when you can’t reach the goals you’ve set.
I’ve learned over the years; this typically happens for 1 of 2 reasons. Number 1, your goals were too difficult or defined when you started. Or number two, you didn’t push hard enough to accomplish the goal.
Number two is the issue 90% of the time. Why? Because doing something difficult is not easy, that’s why it needed to be a goal in the first place.
Push harder, make it happen, if you have to adjust the goal, but do NOT give up, push yourself through to your goal.
