It's easy to drift.
Stop making excuses start making the tough decisions.
The most natural thing in the world is NOT to do what needs to be done.
It's easier to procrastinate. It's much simpler not to decide. It's less painful to not take action. There is a time to pause for sure, for me, all too often I'm guilty of taking action too quickly. Forward momentum is very important to me, and sometimes I rush to "make things happen" before I should.
For most though, a lack of action is the problem.
Most "drift" through life, just like a leaf floating down the stream. No rudder, no plan, no goals, no purpose, just floating.
No one chooses this no one "drifts" on purpose. Drifting is just the natural response life gives when purposeful actions are not taken.
You go to work, you pay your bills, you watch your Netflix, you take your kids to their sports practices, you have birthday parties, you celebrate holidays. You live, you drift.
You don't make an impact though, you don't "decide" what to do day after day, it just happens. Life just happens to you.
Fear, laziness, distraction, setbacks, discouragement.
It's time you got back to your why. It's time you started owning each and every minute of your day. It's time you stopped drifting and started living on purpose, according to your own plan. If you're like most, you've NEVER done this before.
When you do, it's going to be scary. It's going to be downright terrifying actually.
Many that try, slip right back to rudderless drifting shortly after experiencing the anxiety of taking charge of their own life.
It's YOUR life dangit, freaking take charge, make some decisions. You might be wrong sometimes, but at least it's YOU deciding, YOU taking action, YOU living on purpose instead of your life being controlled by the random happenings of a collection of the moments and situations surrounding you.
Take it back, stop drifting, start living.
